DEDHAM, Mass. —
Hand tools, including a hatchet and a hacksaw, were entered into evidence Friday in the murder trial of Brian Walshe, the Massachusetts father accused of killing and dismembering his wife.
The Cohasset man is accused of killing and dismembering Ana Walshe, 39, around New Year's Day in 2023. Prosecutors allege that Brian Walshe disposed of his wife's remains in dumpsters around the area.
Heather Sullivan, a retired Massachusetts State Police trooper, was on the stand as prosecutors entered into evidence a series of hand tools found during the search of dumpsters at a Swampscott apartment complex. The retired trooper, who worked in crime scene services, said she took photos that were previously shown to the jury.
