OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - One person was hospitalized after a house fire in South Omaha Friday afternoon.

An Omaha Fire Department release says crews responded to the scene near 30th and S streets around 1:15 p.m.

OFD says one occupant was in the home at the time crews arrived and was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.

Three occupants were displaced as a result, and two dogs died in the fire.

No other injuries were reported as a result of the fire. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

Damage to the home is estimated at $100,000.
