A Monmouth County man was charged with attempted murder after firing into a group of people last September in Asbury Park, Monmouth County prosecutors said.
Zion J. Langhorne, 24, of Tinton Falls was indicted by a grand jury for first-degree attempted murder and second-degree counts of eluding and weapons offenses.
Asbury Park police responded to reports of gunfire in the 1200 block of Washington Avenue on Sept. 13, shortly after 5 p.m., officials said.
Responding officers determined that three shots were fired from a car toward a group of people, officials said. No one was injured in the shooting, according to authorities.
Investigators identified Langhorne as a suspect and attempted to pull him over later the same day, officials said.
