JACKSON, Mo. (KFVS) - From 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, December 13, there will be a holiday toy swap at the Riverside Regional Library’s main branch in Jackson, Missouri.
It will be an exchange of gently used toys and books for ages 0 to 12.
Children’s librarian Samantha Buchheit said this is the first year for the toy swap.
“This is a way to get nice, new-to-you toys for your family, and also clear up space in your home. We all want to start the New Year fresh and clean, and we might be getting a lot more toys coming in around Christmas. So this is a great way to clear up space, make way for new, and help others out.”
Buchheit said the donated toys don’t need to be new in the box or perfect, just as long as they are not damaged or too worn.
“I’m expecting to get more toys for younger kids
