BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - A three-week undercover narcotics investigation by the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office ended with multiple arrests, large drug seizures, and several suspects still at large, according to officials.

Deputies said agents controlled purchases of fentanyl during the investigation and conducted extended surveillance on suspects distributing narcotics across the Baton Rouge area. Based on the evidence, investigators secured 14 search warrants.

On December 4, with assistance from multiple divisions and federal partners, deputies executed the warrants at locations across East Baton Rouge, Ascension, and Livingston parishes, including sites along major roadways such as Florida Boulevard, Airline Highway, Greenwell Street, and multiple residential addresses.
