GRASS VALLEY, Calif. —

Police are seeking a fourth suspect in a racially-motivated assault that hospitalized a man in Grass Valley, officials said. Two men and a juvenile were arrested in the attack.

On Wednesday evening, the Grass Valley Police Department said four people in a vehicle approached a man working in a commercial parking lot on McKnight Way. The four exited the vehicle and, unprompted, began hurling racial slurs and physically attacking the victim.

The victim was taken to the Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital for treatment, officials said. The extent of his injuries is unknown.

The two men arrested were identified as 18-year-old Chasen Ryder McIntire and 19-year-old Alexander Logan Schmidt, both of Grass Valley. A boy was also arrested.
