BLOOMINGTON, Indiana – Colorado volleyball coach Jesse Mahoney knew it would take an exceptional performance for his team to advance in the NCAA Tournament on Friday.
The Buffaloes proved capable of that all year, but at Wilkinson Hall, it was the host Indiana Hoosiers who came up with the momentum-seizing runs. Indiana ended CU’s season with a three-game sweep, 25-20, 25-17, 25-23, in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
The 15th-ranked Hoosiers (25-7, seeded fourth) advance to the Sweet 16. No. 24 CU (23-9, seeded fifth), in the tournament for the first time since 2022, fell short of its first Sweet 16 appearance since 2017.
