OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The University of Nebraska System Board of Regents has approved $67.5 million in privately funded capital projects for Omaha Athletics facilities.
The projects include a $55 million training facility and a $12.5 million baseball and softball clubhouse that will modernise the University of Nebraska at Omaha’s athletic facilities.
The board also voted Friday to approve $8.47 million in UNL cuts and program eliminations.
The developments are part of the Athletics Campus Masterplan located south of Center Street and represent a fully philanthropic investment in the student-athlete experience.
Training facility details
The Omaha Athletics Training Facility will be located just east of Baxter Arena and connected by an elevated skywalk. The 75,000-square-foot facility
