The Seaford Oyster Bay Expressway has reopened in Wantagh following a hydraulic fuel spill, Nassau police said.
The incident, involving a New York State Department of Transportation truck, began around 4:30 p.m. and involved a truck leaking hydraulic fluid, a Nassau police spokesperson told Newsday.
The spill closed the southbound highway at Exit 2 between Sunrise Highway and Merrick Road, according to a police news release. The roadway reopened about three hours later.
