LUTSEN, Minn. (Northern News Now) - After 22 months of investigation, law enforcement and prosecutors held a press conference on Thursday to discuss the burning of the iconic Lutsen Lodge and formally press charges against its owner.

For nearly two years, the Lutsen community has mourned the loss of its iconic lodge and awaited accountability.

Now, enough evidence has been collected to file federal arson and insurance‑fraud charges against the former owner in connection with the February 2024 fire.
