DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - Ballet dancers, from the Minnesota Ballet, made their way to Essentia St. Mary’s Medical Center Friday ahead of their big tour at the DECC.
Patients and their loved ones gathered to watch the ballet dancers bring an abbreviated story of the Nutcracker to life before they begin performances at the DECC.
One of the ballerinas performing said a big part of Friday’s visit was to say thank you to healthcare workers for their hard work.
“It’s a wonderful way to appreciate the healthcare workers of our city. They do so much for us, and they’re always there, so we want to bring a little magic and holiday cheer to them if we can,” said Brooke Bero.
The full Nutcracker performance will take place December 12th through 14th at the DECC’s Symphony Hall.
