Firefighters from Springfield Township and Volant were called out to a home along Pennsy Road in Springfield Township on Friday, December 5, for reports of a structure fire around 3:30 p.m.
According to Assistant Fire Chief James Kyle of the Springfield Township Volunteer Fire Department, when firefighters arrived at the home, it was fully involved, and flames could be seen through the roof.
It took responders 20 minutes to knock down the flames.
No one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.
Assistant Fire Chief Kyle also told 21 News that the home is deemed to be a "total loss" as a result of the damage.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
