BOWLING GREEN — The Bowling Green State University hockey team was back at home Friday, hosting the winless Northern Michigan for the first of two final conference clashes before going on a break from regular season play for the rest of December.
The Falcons stumbled in the opener against the Wildcats (1-16-0, 1-8-0 CCHA), falling 3-2 after allowing a goal in each period and failing to score until the third.
“Credit to them, it’s their first win,” BGSU head coach Dennis Williams said postgame. “They should feel good about it. They did what they needed to do to win that game… tomorrow’s a new day, and we have to be the caged dog. We have to be the ones setting the pace and physicality.”
The Falcons entered the game at 7-4-3 for the season, riding a 5-1-2 stretch in their last eight. Thei
