A child was hurt after being hit by a vehicle in Rockland County Tuesday night, March 25. 

The incident happened in Monsey on College Road near Wallenberg Circle on Tuesday night at around 8:30 p.m., according to Ramapo Police Det. Lt. Chris Franklin. 

The 11-year-old boy was hit by a vehicle going north, Franklin said, adding that the driver stayed at the scene and was cooperative. 

Ramapo Police and Hatzoloh EMS responded to the scene. Rockland Hatzoloh paramedics transported the child to Westchester Medical Center and reported that his injuries were not serious.

No charges or summonses were issued, according to Franklin.
