Does charging your phone overnight damage the battery? This is a question that experts are addressing and one that many of us often ponder. The experts at Which? took to social media to clarify what actually happens, and it's good news .
Adam Speight, a Senior Research and Writer at Which? , reassured: "No, it's not true. Modern smartphones are just way better than that now. There’s some truth to it. It used to be the case.
"Phones used to charge up to 100% and keep on doing it for several hours throughout the night, and that would be in a high-stress state. It could damage your battery .
"Now they’re way smarter than that. They’ll stay at 80% a lot of the night and sort of top it up right before you get up."
