Met Office issues 'danger to life' warning as heavy rain to drench Bristol View 2 Images

The Met Office has issued a "danger to life" warning as heavy rain is set to drench Bristol and the whole of the South West from Monday, December 8.

The 24-hour warning, which will be in effect from 6pm on Monday, until 6pm on Tuesday, is for heavy rain which could bring as much as 100mm over the most exposed prone hills.

The Met Office said there is a small chance of fast flowing or deep floodwater causing a danger to life as driving conditions are set to be impacted, transport services disrupted and there is a small chance of flooding to properties and businesses.

The warning has a medium impact but a very low likelihood at the time of writing.
