SHRUB OAK – A State Police investigator from Putnam Valley faces charges of DWI and leaving the scene of an accident following a crash on East Main Street in Shrub Oak.
Troop K spokeswoman Trooper Krystal Paolicelli identified the suspect as 51-year-old Richard Miller who is assigned to the State Police troop that patrols New York City.
Police said shortly after 8 p.m. on Thursday evening patrols responded to Hudson Valley Hospital Center at Peekskill Cortlandt for a report of a hit-and-run collision.
Paolicelli said an investigation determined that Miller’s Chevrolet sedan allegedly struck the rear of a vehicle that was stopped at a red light and fled the scene. A witness told troopers the vehicle continued south toward Crompond Road before parking in the Hudson Valley Hospital parking
