Top 25 teams hit the court on Saturday night when the Tennessee Volunteers host the Illinois Fighting Illini in a big non-conference matchup.

The Volunteers come into the game on a two-game losing streak after winning their first seven games of the season. They struggled in their last game as they scored just 60 points in a loss to Syracuse.

The Fighting Illini also come into Saturday looking to get back in the win column as they lost to UConn in their last game. The loss dropped them to 6-2 on the season.

Tennessee vs Illinois prediction, pick:

The Fighting Illini have looked good this season, but have lost their last two games against ranked opponents. The offense has been good this season, but they scored just 61 points against the Huskies in their last game.

The Volunteers have also slowed on offense as they are averaging just 68 points over the last two games. They do own a win over Houston, but are slumping.

This is a huge game for both teams, who desperately need a ranked win to help their resume. The Volunteers are at home, so we will give them the slight edge. Expect a close game, though.

Prediction: Tennessee 83, Illinois 79

Best Bet: Tennessee -2.5
