STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Starting next week, the NYC Ferry system will connect Staten Island and Brooklyn.
A route adjustment will send boats between St. George and the existing fast ferry stop at the American Veterans Memorial Pier at 69th Street in Bay Ridge.
The change comes as the New York City Economic Development Corporation, which oversees the NYC Ferry, has revamped the system’s existing routes .
After stopping in Bay Ridge, NYC Ferry boats will continue first to Atlantic Avenue at Brooklyn Bridge Park before ending at Wall Street/Pier 11 in lower Manhattan.
This major hub will connect Staten Island commuters to the rest of the NYC Ferry system, which mainly operates in the East River.
