TAMPA, Fla. ( WWSB ) - Four men from Tampa accused of conducting sneaker heists across multiple states were arrested last month after detectives tracked their movements following a convenience store stop for energy drinks.
The Martin County Sheriff’s Office said Herbert Davis III, Michael McCray, Jim O. Rayford, and Tyrone Howard, all in their 20s, are linked to at least 10 mall break-ins across Florida, South Georgia, and Mississippi in what investigators describe as a near-million-dollar operation.
In October, investigators said the crew spent seven hours on the roof of Treasure Coast Square, cutting through a concrete layer and dropping into Champs to steal hundreds of pairs of high-end sneakers.
