A 23-year-old Clifton Heights man has been charged with torching a car in the borough.
Francis Jean Baptiste, 23, of Oak Avenue was charged with reckless burning, risking a catastrophe, possession of an instrument of crime, criminal mischief, prowling at night and trespass.
According to the criminal complaint filed by Sgt. Ryan Berry:
Police and firefighters were alerted Thursday at 8:25 p.m. for a fire behind One Owner Car in the 500 block of West Baltimore Avenue.
First responders found a green Subaru engulfed. Clifton Heights and Upper Darby firefighters responded and controlled the blaze, keeping it from extending to the business.
Police reported the 2019 Subaru Outback station wagon was severely damaged with the majority of damage contained to the burned out engine compartment. T
