U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem was expected to be on hand as Chicago's "Christmas Tree Ship" made a special holiday delivery on Saturday morning at Navy Pier.
The ship, the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Mackinaw, arrived earlier this week with 1,200 healthy, fresh Christmas trees to help make the holidays a little brighter. The trees were expected to be offloaded at 8:30 a.m. during a festival that included holiday music and even offered tours of the ice cutter.
