Chicago police have cited the driver of a CTA bus who struck and killed a woman earlier this week, authorities said.
The incident was reported Wednesday morning along South South Shore Drive near East 70th Street in the city's South Shore neighborhood. Authorities said a woman approached the bus, which was stationary, and slipped as it started to move forward.
She was struck by the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office later identified the woman as Tracy Frasure, 42, of Chicago.
Police didn't provide specifics but confirmed the CTA bus driver was cited.
