The lengthy process of selecting the next Penn State football coach ended on Friday when the school reached an agreement with Iowa State's Matt Campbell.
Nittany Lions athletic director Patrick Kraft announced in a statement on the program's website that Campbell's hiring must receive approval from a committee of the school's Board of Trustees before the deal can be finalized.
"Coach Campbell is, without a doubt, the right leader at the right time for Penn State Football," Kraft wrote in the statement.
