Despite missing out on Jase Mathews on Friday, Auburn still managed to add one more player to its class on the final day of the early signing period.

Mason Mathis, a three-star offensive tackle from Milton, Florida, chose the Tigers on Friday. He had previously been committed to Auburn head coach Alex Golesh and offensive line coach Tyler Hudanick at USF.

Mathis is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 1,646 player in the country and the 138th-best offensive tackle. He becomes the 18th signee in Auburn’s class and the second offensive tackle.

He becomes one of four total offensive linemen in Auburn’s class, joining Wilson Zierer, Parker Pritchett and fellow former USF commit Mykall Lundy-Foster.
