TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - Lainy's Light Foundation successfully hosted its first annual Santa 5K event on Saturday, Dec. 6, at 8 a.m. on the University of Arizona Mall. The event brought together the Tucson community in support of children newly diagnosed with cancer.
More than 250 participants dressed as Santa, complete with hats and beards, joined the 5K run or walk. The registration fee was $44, and participants were able to sign up on the day of the event.
