TOWAMENCIN – The North Penn boys basketball team found itself trailing by 12 points in the first quarter to a Mastery Charter North side willing to run up and down the court with the Knights.
But NP coach Cordell Lord was not going to deviate from the high-tempo pace and eventually the Knights found their footing, catching up and by the end of the half held a three-point lead in the North Penn Tip-Off Tournament contest Friday night.
“It was just continuing to play our brand,” Lord said. “We didn’t really change too much. We’re young so we’re making a lot of mistakes right now and it’s a lot of patience but at the same time we don’t have time. So I’m putting a lot of pressure on the guys to go out here and execute at a high level.
