CLOQUET, Minn. (Northern News Now) - Cloquet community members braved the cold to celebrate the holidays with their Christmas parade.

Iconic characters, including Smokey Bear, the Grinch and even Santa and Mrs. Claus made their way down Cloquet Avenue alongside local businesses.

Kids waddled in their snow gear to grab candy and wave hello.

After the parade, the sky lit up with fireworks for the city to enjoy.

Kelly Bonitz attended the parade with her husband and two sons. She said that it is the time of year to make lifelong memories with their kids.

“It’s just hopefully the memories of growing up, and it’s something they can always look back on and remember the cold winter standing outside watching the Cloquet parade,” said Bonitz.
