Huge queues formed in Edinburgh as thousands flocked to the Christmas Markets on Saturday. The city centre was branded 'absolute hell' by those who waited in massive lines on December 6.

Clips from the queue show people waiting on Waverley Bridge to get into the popular festive attraction. Ellie Quinn shared a post on TikTok that has over 630,000 views and 16,000 likes.

Ellie posted to TikTok : "If you’re thinking of going to Edinburgh Christmas Market.. at peak time… on a Saturday! Absolute hell."

One of her followers commented: "I live in town and I can barely get out my front door, it's genuinely terrifying."
