Rod Stewart’s wife, Penny Lancaster, broke down in tears after discovering how one of her husband’s friends deliberately kept them apart during their early days. The legendary rocker informed his wife t hat a trusted pal had deliberately withheld her contact details until he believed Rod had “fully healed” from his painful divorce from model Rachel Hunter.

Rod has previously spoken about how Rachel's departure left him physically suffering, finally understanding what a broken heart truly felt like.
