English public students in the Sudbury area have made significant gains in standardized test results, particularly when it comes to literacy at the elementary level.

“The year-over-year percentage change in all but two assessments surpassed the provincial results, with marked improvement in mathematics,” the Rainbow District School Board said in a release.
