Strictly Come Dancing star Lewis Cope said Katya Jones had given him "absolutely everything" as they made a shock exit from the competition.

The pair were favourites to go all the way to the final of the BBC One dance contest, which is set for just a couple of weeks' time on December 20, after impressing with their routines, even bagging the first 40 of the series back during the Halloween special.

But it was seemingly a wobble in their journey on Saturday night (December 6) that sealed their departure from the show during the quarter-final stage.

As viewers saw, they received 35 points from the judges following their salsa to Dance At The Gym from West Side Story during the show's Musicals Week special, but Lewis was heard apologising to Katya at the end of their rout
