Strictly Come Dancing viewers were quick to notice the judges' dismayed expressions following Lewis Cope's elimination during this evening's dance-off.

Sunday night witnessed the former Emmerdale star's departure from the competition after landing in the bottom two.

The performer found himself facing elimination alongside Amber Davies, despite both contestants having secured some of the series' most impressive scores.

The judging panel made no attempt to hide their distress at seeing Lewis amongst the lowest-voted pairs, with Motsi Mabuse and Shirley Ballas struggling to bear witness to the dance-off.
