MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -

The 115th Fighter Wing will hold evening trainings in Madison this week, the Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs announced Sunday.

The trainings will take place at the Madison airport between Monday, Dec. 8, and Thursday, Dec. 11, officials said.

The F-35 flight trainings will end for the day at around 8 p.m. Though trainings normally take place during daylight hours, the pilots are required to bank nighttime training hours as part of overall readiness.

The pilots will follow routes that are meant to minimize noise to residents in the area, but the planes still may be seen and heard.
