A key step forward in the fight to secure identical concessionary bus travel across England to that enjoyed by residents in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland has happened today. A substantial petition hosted on the Parliament website is demanding that all individuals aged over 60 receive complimentary bus travel throughout England.

At present, such provision exists solely in regions where local councils have chosen to finance it - resulting in precious few locations possessing adequate resources, including areas like Merseyside and London.
