Nagpur : The Winter Session of the Maharashtra Legislature began on a stormy note in Nagpur on Monday, as Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and MLA Aditya Thackeray launched a sharp and direct assault on the ruling government during the opening proceedings. His aggressive remarks triggered loud sloganeering from the Opposition benches, creating high political drama on the very first day.

Thackeray cornered the ruling alliance on a range of issues, from governance failures to lack of transparency, accusing the government of neglecting critical concerns affecting citizens. “Unemployment, rising inflation, farmer distress, and deteriorating law and order are escalating every day, yet the government has taken no concrete action,” he charged.
