The Village of Machesney Park is celebrating the holiday spirit by recognizing the best-decorated home in each of its six districts.

The contest invites homeowners to participate by having their decorations and lights up by Dec. 12, according to a community announcement. Each district's trustee will select a winner.

The judging will take place over the weekend of Dec. 13, and the winners will be announced at the Village Board Meeting on Dec. 15 at 6 p.m. Participants do not need to be present to win.
