Two people have been taken to hospital after a crash forced a road to be closed for five and a half hours.
Emergency services descended upon Truro Drive in Hartlepool on Sunday (December 7) after the smash at 8.10pm.
The road, by its junction onto the A689 Stockton Road, was cordoned off as crash investigators and police probed the scene.
The road was reopened shortly before 2am.
A spokesperson for North East Ambulance Service said: "We were called to a road traffic incident on Truro Drive, Hartlepool at 8.10pm on December 7.
"We dispatched two double crewed ambulances, a specialist paramedic and were supported by Great North Air Ambulance who attended in their response car.
"Two patients were taken to James Cook Hospital."
