DES PLAINES, Ill. (WLS) -- Every year, the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe draws tens of thousands of pilgrims to Des Plaines.

It's set to begin Thursday night, but this year it happens during concerns about ICE raids.

Church leaders at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe says this year's event will happen as scheduled, and federal agents won't be allowed on church grounds.

The annual celebration brings hundreds of thousands of Catholics to Des Plaines every year.

It also comes as fears continue surrounding the immigration crackdown, as communities continue to report immigration enforcement activity across the Chicagoland area.

Sunday, people brought flowers and candles to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
