HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The Hastings City Council is set to complete the final step in a housing development in south Hastings. The housing development, located at Franklin and G streets, east of the Adams County Fairgrounds, is set to be rezoned from a commercial business district to a multi-family residential planned district. If approved by the council, it will bring the property into compliance with the city’s zoning laws.
The request was approved by the City Planning Commission in November and recommended to the council for approval. Development Services Director Kevin Kubo said building in this spot has benefits and could lead to more housing in the future.
