A man from Sunderland who is wanted for shoplifting , and is thought to be actively evading arrest, is being sought by Northumbria Police . Steven Adams, 41, is wanted in connection with the offences and officers are asking for the public's help to trace him.

Extensive enquiries are currently ongoing to locate Adams, who has links to the following areas: Hetton le Hole, Houghton-le-Spring , and Washington . Northumbria Police are also reminding members of the public that harbouring a wanted person is a criminal offence, and that those who are involved could face prosecution.
