Footage captured two men dressed as Santa Claus in a heated confrontation inside a supermarket in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Shoppers watched in shock as the pair, both dressed in the Russian Ded Moroz tradition, began pushing and shoving each other in the fruit and vegetable section.

One wore a red suit resembling the Western Santa, while the other was dressed in white.

The altercation, reportedly over a territorial dispute about who would entertain children, sent fruit and even a small Christmas tree flying.

A security guard tried to intervene but was shoved aside by the Santa in red.

One of the Santas fell to the floor before getting up to continue the fight, until two security officers managed to separate them.

Sources in Baku said no one was seriously injured, and police later questioned
