Ever since the central government formed the 8th Pay Commission and approved its terms of reference (ToR) in early November, lakhs of government employees and pensioners have been keen to know the implementation date of the 8th CPC . Even though the government has given an 18-month deadline to the 8th CPC to submit its report, it has not said anything about its implementation date.

The Finance Ministry faced a similar question in the Parliament today (Monday, December 8, 2025) when 4 Members of Parliament ( MPs ) asked about the 8th Pay Commission implementation date from Pankaj Chaudhary, Minister of State.
