NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. —

A South Carolina woman is facing a list of charges after what was found in her car when she passed a stopped school bus.

Around 2:30 p.m. Thursday, a detective with the North Charleston Police Department saw a driver pass a school bus with its stop arm and flashing lights activated near Greenridge Road and Crossroads Drive.

Police said the driver was stopped a short distance away at Crossroads Drive and Sorrell Avenue.

According to police, the driver, identified as Gianni Desiree Hamilton, did not have a valid driver’s license and had previously had her license suspended six times for failing to pay traffic tickets.

Officers said Hamilton was also unable to provide proof of registration or insurance
