Motorists in Northampton County should prepare for multiple road work projects and traffic restrictions through mid-December as PennDOT crews and contractors perform maintenance and construction work across the region.

The most significant disruption involves West Northampton Street in Bath Borough, which will remain closed through September 2026 as part of the Route 248 realignment project.

As of last Wednesday, Dec. 3, traffic was being detoured on Creek Road, North Chestnut Street, and West Main Street.
