CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Police took a man into custody Sunday after he allegedly made threats at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.
The man, whose name was not released, was later taken to a hospital for a mental health evaluation, according to an airport spokesperson.
The spokesperson said Cleveland police began investigating after the Summit County Sheriff’s Office told them about the man making threats.
Officers tracked the man down on the escalator to the ticketing level, and he was taken into custody.
The spokesperson said he was not armed at that time, though a loaded gun was later found in his vehicle located on airport property.
The spokesperson added the man was having a mental health crisis.
