Armed police raced to the scene of a Birmingham property where a man was tragically found dead.

West Midlands Police said officers had been deployed to Ankermoor Close, in Shard End , at around 11.40am today, Monday, December 8.

Residents had earlier seen more than a dozen police vehicles and 20 officers on the normally quiet cul-de-sac. Detectives and forensic officers later attended the property.

Now the police force has said the man's death is "not being treated as suspicious". A file will be prepared for a Birmingham and Solihull coroner in due course.
