BUFFALO, N.Y. — Save Our Buffalo Churches announced this past weekend that two additional parishes in the Diocese of Buffalo have won their Canon Recourse Appeals and will remain open.

According to their press release, the organization said the Dicastery for Clergy at the Vatican revoked the merger and closure decrees for Our Lady of Peace Parish in Clarence and Holy Apostles Parish in Jamestown. Both parishes also received acceptance of their appeals against assessments levied by the diocese, with those actions suspended due to what the Vatican cited as “grave concerns," the release stated.

St. Bernadette in Orchard Park received its revoked decree in November.
