CLARENCE, N.Y. — Fans of Trader Joe's in Western New York will have a new place to shop starting this Friday.

The popular grocery store chain announced Monday afternoon, their new store at 5017 Transit Road in Clarence will have its grand opening on Friday, December 12th.

Buffalo Business First had previously reported that Benderson Development received approvals from the Clarence Planning Board for the development plan of the location in May this year.

For the opening, Trader Joe’s hired more than sixty new employees from around WNY, and transferred in others from nearby Trader Joe’s stores.

The chain is also planning to uphold its Neighborhood Shares Program. That means the new location will donate 100% of the products that go unsold will be donated to non-profit and community-base
