AMHERST, NY — The US Marshal's Buffalo office has confirmed that a person of interest in connection with the NY Jets Kris Boyd shooting has been taken into custody in Western New York.
A spokesperson for the US Marshals confirmed a person of interest was taken into custody in Amherst on Monday.
The 29-year-old cornerback was shot in the abdomen around 2 a.m. on West 38th Street near Seventh Avenue, the New York Post reported. Law enforcement sources told the outlet the shooting happened outside Sei Less restaurant after a dispute turned violent and a gunman fired two shots.
The US Marshals could not share any further details and referred us to the local police agency.
